CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) adalah suatu konsep atau tindakan yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan sebagai rasa tanggung jawab perusahaan terhadap social maupun lingkungan sekitar dimana perusahaan itu berada, seperti melakukan suatu kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar dan menjaga lingkungan, memberikan beasiswa untuk anak tidak mampu di daerah tersebut, dana untuk pemeliharaan fasilitas umum, sumbangan untuk membangun desa/fasilitas masyarakat yang bersifat sosial dan berguna untuk masyarakat banyak, khususnya masyarakat yang berada di sekitar perusahaan tersebut berada. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) merupakan sebuah fenomena dan strategi yang digunakan perusahaan untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan dan kepentingan stakeholder-nya.

Kegiatan CSR akan menjamin keberlanjutan bisnis yang dilakukan. Hal ini disebabkan karena :

1.    Menurunnya gangguan social yang sering terjadi akibat pencemaran lingkungan, bahkan dapat menumbuh kembangkan dukungan atau pembelaan masyarakat setempat.

2.    Terjaminnya pasokan bahan baku secara berkelanjutan untuk jangka panjang.

3.    Tambahan keuntungan dari unit bisnis baru, yang semula merupakan kegiatan CSR yang dirancang oleh korporat.

Berikut ini adalah manfaat CSR bagi masyarakat:

1.Meningkatknya kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar dan kelestarian

lingkungan.

2. Adanya beasiswa untuk anak tidak mampu di daerah tersebut.

3. Meningkatnya pemeliharaan fasilitas umum.

4. Adanya pembangunan desa/fasilitas masyarakat yang bersifat sosial dan berguna untuk masyarakat banyak khususnya masyarakat yang berada di sekitar perusahaan tersebut berada.

Berikut ini adalah manfaat CSR bagi perusahaan:

1.      Meningkatkan citra perusahaan.

2.      Mengembangkan kerja sama dengan perusahaan lain.

3.      Memperkuat brand merk perusahaan dimata masyarakat.

4.      Membedakan perusahan tersebut dengan para pesaingnya.

5.      Memberikan inovasi bagi perusahaan

CONTOH KASUS:

Contoh perusahaan yang menerapkan CSR adalah PT PLN (Persero).

PLN telah “berkomitmen menjadikan tenaga listrik sebagai media untuk meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan masyarakat, mengupayakan tenaga listrik menjadi pendorong kegiatan ekonomi dan menjalankan kegiatan usaha yang berwawasan lingkungan”, PLN bertekad menyelaraskan pengembangan ketiga aspek dalam penyediaan listrik, yaitu ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan. Untuk itu, PLN mengembangkan Program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) sebagai wujud nyata dari Tanggungjawab Sosial Perusahaan Wewenang dan tanggung jawab Program Kemitraan dan Bina Lingkungan (PKBL) dan Tanggung Jawab Sosial Perusahaan (CSR) PT PLN (Persero), mencakup di antaranya:

• Menyusun dan melaksanakan kebijakan pemberdayaan masyarakat di lingkungan perusahaan sebagai bagian dari tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan dan CSR dengan lingkup kegiatan Community relation, Community Services, Community Empowering dan Pelestarian alam.
• Menyusun dan melaksanakan program kepedulian sosial perusahaan.
• Menyusun dan melaksanakan program kemitraan sosial dan bina UKM dan peningkatan citra perusahaan.
• Memastikan tersedianya dan terlaksananya program pelestarian alam termasuk penghijauan dan upaya pengembangan citra perusahaan sesuai dengan prinsip Good Corporate Governance.

ANALISIS:

Menurut saya keputusan manajemen perusahaan untuk melaksanakan program-program CSR secara berkelanjutan, pada dasarnya merupakan keputusan yang rasional. Sebab implementasi program-program CSR akan menimbulkan efek lingkaran emas yang akan dinikmati oleh perusahaan dan seluruh stakeholder-nya. Melalui CSR, kesejahteraan dan kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat lokal maupun masyarakat luas akan lebih terjamin. Kondisi ini pada gilirannya akan menjamin kelancaran seluruh proses atau aktivitas produksi perusahaan serta pemasaran hasil-hasil produksi perusahaan. Sedangkan terjaganya kelestarian lingkungan dan alam selain menjamin kelancaran proses produksi juga menjamin ketersediaan pasokan bahan baku produksi yang diambil dari alam.

Bila CSR benar-benar dijalankan secara efektif maka dapat memperkuat atau meningkatkan akumulasi modal sosial dalam rangka meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Modal sosial, termasuk elemen-elemennya seperti kepercayaan, kohesifitas, altruisme, gotong royong, jaringan dan kolaborasi sosial memiliki pengaruh yang besar terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Melalui beragam mekanismenya, modal sosial dapat meningkatkan rasa tanggung jawab terhadap kepentingan publik, meluasnya partisipasi dalam proses demokrasi, menguatnya keserasian masyarakat dan menurunnya tingkat kekerasan dan kejahatan.

Tanggung jawab perusahaan terhadap kepentingan publik dapat diwujudkan melalui pelaksanaan program-program CSR yang berkelanjutan dan menyentuh langsung aspek-aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Dengan demikian realisasi program-program CSR merupakan sumbangan perusahaan secara tidak langsung terhadap penguatan modal sosial secara keseluruhan. Berbeda halnya dengan modal finansial yang dapat dihitung nilainya kuantitatif, maka  modal sosial tidak dapat dihitung nilainya secara pasti. Namun demikian, dapat ditegaskan bahwa pengeluaran biaya untuk program-program CSR merupakan investasi perusahaan untuk memupuk modal sosial.

Miss The Old Memories

HAI ;-) akhirnya sekarang aku nulis lagi nih tentang yaaa... u know lah -_- yang galau-galau gitu. Kwuk! setelah nulis Dear You, Aku Patah Hati, Kamu Tanpa Aku, sekarang aku mau nulis yang judulnya Miss The Old Memories -_- abstruk abis judulnya. Hmm abis apa dong? ada yang punya ide? -_- Oke aku kasih penjelasan lagi ya biar kamu-kamu pada gak mikir yang lain-lain. Sebelumnya kan aku pernah nulis yang 3 posting itu sama yang sekarang. Aku nulis itu dari beberapa tweets akun yang memang kata-katanya menurut aku bisa untuk disambungin buat jadi sebuah cerita. Nah dari situ aku coba tuh ._. dan ternyata pas dibaca-baca lagi alhamdulillah ya nyambung. Tapi ada sebagian yang kata-katanya aku edit dan aku tambahin, biar nyambung aja gitu kata-katanya. Nah yang sekarang, ada beberapa pakai kata-kata aku. Maaf ya kalau cerita yang sekarang agak engga nyambung-_-v harap dimaklumkan. Capcus~

Cinta mampu bekukan lirih hujan, ketika bahkan dinginnya malam mampu membuat rinduku terdiam. Ada yang lebih asing dari suara bising angin sore, yaitu melukis pipi langit yang kian merah merona merindu malam. Sebagai bulan, kau terang saat malam, bulan selalu pandai melengkungkan senyum nakalnya, tapi tidak ada suatu apapun yang bisa menandingi senyumanmu. Bahkan saat pagi menjelang, kau bersembunyi diam-diam, mengalah dengan mentari. Aku sangat mencintai senja. Mengapa aku mencintai senja? Karena ia duta bagi pagi, untuk kemudian mati menghidupkan malam. Dan itu yang ku sebut dengan sebuah kesetiaan.

Aku telah berputar-putar mencari engkau dalam putaran-putaran waktu. Aku melihat kehidupan bersama senyumu, dan kemudian terasa gelap bersama perbedaan kita. Seringkali aku keras kepala menunggu yang tak pasti. Menunggumu misalnya. Bertahan pada sesuatu perasaan sakit yang sulit diungkapkan. Aku bersabar lebih karena aku mencintaimu, walaupun aku harus merasakan sakit kerena melihatmu dengannya </3 Andaikan ku dapat mengungkapkan perasaanku ini, hingga membuat kau percaya, aku akan memberikan seutuh rasa cintaku ini, selamanya. Rasa ini menyiksa. Bersamamu aku mengetahui banyak hal, termasuk sesuatu yang indah tidak hanya datang dari hal yang sama. Kamu adalah alasan terbesarku untuk mengubah sikap-sikap burukku dan mengubah semuanya menjadii lebih indah ketika bersamamu..... Aku rasakan betapa dahsyatnya kuasa Tuhan saat mempertemukan aku dan kamu disuatu tempat yang mungkin tidak terduga olehku. Satu senyummu adalah kebahagiaan sederhana yang luar biasa bagiku. Tuhan telah menciptakan sosok yang terindah didalam hidupku, yaitu adalah kamu. Tetapi kini kau menghilang. Kau hancurkan aku seakan ku tak pernah ada. Kau tinggalkanku sendirian disini. Apa yang Dilakuin Kalau Engga Ada Internet

Gimana rasanya hidup tanpa internet? Bagai hidup tanpa cinta nggak? Ya, kurang lebih sama hampanya. Kegiatan apa aja kira-kira yang bakal dilakuin orang kalo nggak ada internet?

1. Kirim Surat
Buat yang LDR-an, ini pasti jadi kegiatan wajib untuk saling bertukar kata mesra. Ya abis mau gimana lagi? Twitteran nggak bisa, Facebook-an nggak bisa, Yahoo Messenger boro-boro. Bisa, sih, telponan. Tapi tekor juga kalo tiap kangen mesti nelpon sampe berjam-jam.

2. Silaturahmi
Apa kebiasaan yang hampir punah gara-gara internet? Saling silaturahmi dengan berkunjung dan bertatap muka langsung. Kalo kangen pengen ngobrol sama temen lama, ya langsung dateng ke rumahnya, bukan lewat BBM, Whatsapp, atau Twitter.

3. Langganan Koran/Majalah
Pas ada internet, informasi bisa dengan mudah kita dapet. Bisa sambil tengkurep, telentang, atau pas kita lagi pup. Nah, kalo nggak ada internet? Ya, langganan koran/majalah. Atau ke perpustakaan buat nambah pengetahuan.

4. Tidur
Kayaknya kita bakalan tidur teratur tanpa gangguan dari manapun, kecuali tugas sekolah/kuliah. Kalo ada internet mana bisa? Tiap pengen tidur keganggu sama Twitter, pengen ngerjain tugas malah asik mention-mentionan. Hmm..

Toy Story 3

 

Andy, now nearly 18 years old, is leaving for college, and his toys feel like they have been abandoned as they have not been played with for years. Andy decides to take Woody with him to college and puts Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the toys in a trash bag for storage in the attic. However, the toys are accidentally thrown out when Andy's mom finds the bag and puts it out on the curb, causing the toys to think that they are no longer wanted. They escape and decide to climb in a donation box for Sunnyside Daycare. Woody, the only toy who saw what actually happened, follows the other toys and tries to explain that they were thrown out by mistake, but they refuse to believe him.
Andy's toys are welcomed by the many toys at Sunnyside and given a tour of the seemingly perfect play-setting by Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear (simply known as Lotso), Big Baby and Ken, whom Barbie falls for. All of the toys love their new home, leaving a steadfast Woody alone in an attempt to return to Andy. Woody's escape attempt falls short and he is found outside by Bonnie, an imaginative little girl. She takes him home and plays with him along with her other toys, who are well-treated, happy, and readily welcome Woody. At the daycare, Andy's toys get beaten up by the rambunctious youngest toddlers.
Buzz goes to ask Lotso to transport him and the other toys to a better room, only to be caught by Lotso's henchmen and restored back to his original space ranger persona. At the same time, Andy's toys realize that Woody was right about Andy when Mrs. Potato Head sees Andy searching for them through her missing eye, which was left behind in Andy's room. Before they could leave, they are imprisoned by Lotso and his gang, including a reset Buzz. Back at Bonnie's, Woody learns from one of the toys, named Chuckles the Clown, that Lotso was once a good toy and had an owner named Daisy who also owned Chuckles the Clown and Big Baby. One day, Daisy left them behind on a picnic. The three eventually find their way back to Daisy's house, only to find that she replaced Lotso with an identical teddy bear. When he found Sunnyside, he and Big Baby took it over and ran it like a prison.
The following morning, Woody returns to Sunnyside through Bonnie's backpack. He sneakily reaches his friends and tells them he is sorry for leaving them. They quickly formulate an escape plan. That night, Woody and Slinky sneak through Sunnyside to the main office, where Chatter informed them that a cymbal-banging monkey monitors the CCTV system to prevent toys escaping. A brief fight ensues, ending with the Monkey wrapped in sticky tape and locked in a filing cabinet by Slinky. Slinky signals to the other toys while Mr. Potato head provides a diversion, they make their escape. In the process, Buzz is accidentally reset into a Spanish mode, in which he becomes very flamboyantly chivalrous and his memory is wiped; despite this, Buzz allies himself with Woody's friends, and immediately falls in love with Jessie. The toys reach a dumpster, but are caught by Lotso and his gang. As a garbage truck approaches, Woody reveals what he heard about Lotso, and Big Baby throws Lotso into the dumpster. Seeking revenge, Lotso pulls Woody in the dumpster just as the truck collects the trash. Woody's friends jump into the back of the truck, trying to rescue him and a falling television hits Buzz when he tries to save Jessie, returning him to his normal self. The toys find themselves at the dump and are pushed onto a conveyor belt leading to a garbage shredder. Woody and Buzz save Lotso just in time as he is about to be shredded and Woody and the other toys end up on another conveyor belt, leading to an incinerator. The toys help Lotso reach an emergency stop button, but he leaves them to their deaths. Thinking that this is the end, the toys join hands and accept their fate but are rescued by the Aliens using a giant claw. Lotso makes his way outside, but a passing truck driver finds him and, recognizing he had the toy as a kid, straps him to the radiator grill of his truck. Meanwhile, Woody and his friends board another trash truck driven by an older Sid Phillips back to Andy's house.
In Andy's room, Woody climbs back into the box with Andy's college supplies while the other toys ready themselves for the attic. Remembering his time with Bonnie and her toys, Woody has an idea and leaves a note for Andy on the toys' box. Andy, thinking the note is from his mother, takes them to Bonnie's house and introduces her to his old toy and Bonnie recognizes Woody, who, to Andy's surprise, is lying at the bottom of the box. Andy is initially reluctant to give him up but eventually does so and spends some time playing with her. After Andy leaves, Woody introduces the gang to Bonnie's toys as the camera pans up to the sky.
During the credits, Woody and the other toys learn through notes passed in Bonnie's backpack that Barbie, Ken and Big Baby have improved the lives of the toys (now including an Emperor Zurg action figure) at Sunnyside. Buzz uncontrollably dances with Jessie to a Spanish version of "You've Got a Friend in Me."

Beauty and the Beast Story

 

A wealthy merchant lived in a mansion with his three daughters, all of whom were very beautiful, but only the youngest, at fourteen, is named Belle for being lovely and pure of heart; her sisters, in contrast, are wicked and selfish. The merchant eventually loses all of his wealth in a tempest at sea, and he and his daughters must therefore live in a small farmhouse and work for their living. After some years of this, the merchant hears that one of the trade ships he had sent off has arrived back in port, having escaped the destruction of its compatriots; therefore, he returns to the city to discover whether it contains anything of monetary value. Before leaving, he asks his daughters whether they desire that he bring them any gift upon his return. His two elder daughters ask for jewels and fine dresses, thinking that his wealth has returned; Belle is satisfied with the promise of a rose, as none grow in their part of the country. The merchant, to his dismay, finds that his ship's cargo has been seized to pay his debts, leaving him without money to buy his daughters their presents.
During his return, he becomes lost in a forest. Seeking shelter, he enters a dazzling palace. He finds inside tables laden with food and drink, which have apparently been left for him by the palace's unseen owner. The merchant accepts this gift and spends the night. The next morning as the merchant is about to leave, he sees a rose garden and recalls that Belle had desired a rose. Upon picking the loveliest rose he finds, the merchant is confronted by a hideous 'Beast', which tells him that for taking his (the Beast's) most precious possession after accepting his hospitality, the merchant must die. The merchant begs to be set free, arguing that he had only picked the rose as a gift for his youngest daughter. The Beast agrees to let him give the rose to Belle,but only if the merchant will return.
The merchant is upset, but accepts this condition. The Beast sends him on his way, with jewels and fine clothes for his daughters, and stresses that Belle must never know about his deal. The merchant, upon arriving home, tries to hide the secret from Belle, but she pries it from him and willingly goes to the Beast's castle. The Beast receives her graciously and informs her that she is mistress of the castle, and he is her servant. He gives her lavish clothing and food and carries on lengthy conversations with her. Each night, the Beast asks Belle to marry him, only to be refused each time. After each refusal, Belle dreams of a handsome prince who pleads with her to answer why she keeps refusing him, and she replies that she cannot marry the Beast because she loves him only as a friend. Belle does not make the connection between the handsome prince and the Beast and becomes convinced that the Beast is holding the prince captive somewhere in the castle. She searches for him and discovers multiple enchanted rooms, but never the prince from her dreams.
For several months, Belle lives a life of luxury at the Beast's palace, being waited on hand and foot by invisible servants, having no end of riches to amuse her and an endless supply of exquisite finery to wear. Eventually she becomes homesick and begs the Beast to allow her to go to see her family. He allows it, if she will return exactly a week later. Belle agrees to this and sets off for home with an enchanted mirror and ring. The mirror allows her to see what is going on back at the Beast's castle, and the ring allows her to return to the castle in an instant when turned three times around her finger. Her older sisters are surprised to find her well fed and dressed in finery. They grow jealous of her happy life at the castle, and, hearing that she must return to the Beast on a certain day, beg her to stay another day, even putting onion in their eyes to make it appear as though they are weeping. It is their wish that the Beast will grow angry with Belle for breaking her promise and will eat her alive. Belle's heart is moved by her sisters' false show of love, and she agrees to stay.
Belle begins to feel guilty about breaking her promise to the Beast and uses the mirror to see him back at the castle. She is horrified to discover that the Beast is lying half-dead of heartbreak near the rose bushes her father had stolen from and she immediately uses the ring to return to the Beast.
Upon returning, Belle finds the Beast almost dead, and she weeps over him, saying that she loves him. When her tears strike him, the Beast is transformed into a handsome prince. The Prince informs Belle that long ago a fairy turned him into a hideous beast after he refused to let her in from the rain, and that only by finding true love, despite his ugliness, could the curse be broken. He and Belle are married and they lived happily ever after together.

 



 

Tangled Story

 

A drop of sunlight falls to the ground and grows into a magical flower with healing powers. A woman named Gothel uses it to keep herself young by singing to it. Centuries later, a queen becomes ill while pregnant, and the king orders a search for the legendary flower. His knights find the flower and cut it to bring to the king. The queen is healed after being fed the flower, and gives birth to a daughter, Rapunzel, whose golden hair has absorbed the abilities of the flower. The flower no longer has magical powers since it has been cut, so Gothel tries to steal a lock of Rapunzel's hair. However once cut, the hair turns brown and loses its power. So, she kidnaps Rapunzel to raise as her own child in a high tower, telling her it is for her own safety.
Every year, on Rapunzel's birthday, her parents and their subjects release thousands of sky lanterns, in the hope that the lost princess will return. For her 18th birthday, Rapunzel asks Gothel for permission to go outside the tower to see the source of the annual floating lights, but Gothel refuses. Meanwhile, Flynn Rider and the Stabbington brothers steal the tiara of the lost princess. During the ensuing chase, Maximus, horse of the Captain of the Guards, is separated from his rider but continues on his own. Flynn outwits his accomplices, takes the tiara, and stumbles upon Rapunzel's tower. He climbs up into the tower, but is knocked unconscious with a frying pan by Rapunzel who puts him in a wardrobe. When Gothel returns, Rapunzel tries to show her the captive Flynn to prove she is capable of handling the outside world, but Gothel cuts her off by saying she is never leaving the tower. So Rapunzel instead asks Gothel for a special paint, the ingredients for which require three days' of round-trip travel. Gothel leaves, and Rapunzel tells Flynn that she will give him the tiara back if he takes her to see the lights. Flynn agrees. While en route, he takes her to the Snuggly Duckling Inn, which is full of Gaul thugs, in hopes of scaring her into giving up her quest. The thugs, however, are charmed by Rapunzel, who encourages them to follow their dreams.
Mother Gothel returns early to the tower to find Rapunzel gone but finds the tiara. She then teams up with the Stabbington brothers so she can get Rapunzel back and the brothers can get revenge on Flynn. Meanwhile, the guards invade the tavern, and chase Rapunzel and Flynn to a dam which collapses. Flynn and Rapunzel become trapped in a flooding cave. Believing he is about to die, Flynn admits his true name: Eugene Fitzherbert. Rapunzel admits her hair glows when she sings, then realizes they can use her hairlight to find a way out. Rapunzel later uses her hair to heal Flynn's injured hand. Flynn tells Rapunzel that he was an orphan who dreamed of being like the storybook hero that inspired his alias, but Rapunzel tells him she likes Eugene better than Flynn. When Flynn goes to gather firewood, Gothel meets Rapunzel insisting that Flynn does not care for her and gives Rapunzel the tiara, suggesting that she test Flynn by giving it to him. The next morning, Maximus confronts Flynn but Rapunzel befriends the horse and convinces him to help them instead. Arriving at the kingdom, Flynn takes Rapunzel to see the lanterns. There, Rapunzel gives Flynn back the tiara. Flynn spies his old accomplices and leaves Rapunzel to give them the tiara, realizing that he cares more for Rapunzel. However, the brothers tie him up on a boat and sail him across the lake. They claim Flynn betrayed Rapunzel as they attempt to kidnap her for her hair's power, but Gothel rescues her and takes her back to the tower. Later, reflecting on what she had seen during her adventure in the kingdom, Rapunzel realizes she is the lost princess and attempts to flee the tower.
Meanwhile, Flynn is arrested and sentenced to death, but he is rescued by Maximus and the Gaul thugs from the inn. Flynn races and climbs up back to the tower where Gothel stabs him from behind and prepares to take a struggling Rapunzel to a new hiding place. Rapunzel tells Gothel that she will stop resisting if she can heal Flynn. Gothel agrees, but before Rapunzel can heal him, Flynn cuts her hair which subsequently turns brown and loses its power causing Gothel to age rapidly, fall out of the tower, and turn into dust. With his last breath, Flynn declares his love for Rapunzel who cries, and the healing power of her tear revives him. Returning to the kingdom, Rapunzel is reunited with the King and Queen. Flynn then closes the film, telling the audience that he readopted his original name, and he and Rapunzel eventually get engaged and married.

 





 


 

Perpustakaan Keren di Jakarta

Jangan cuma tau mal-mal keren, kamu juga harus tau perpustakaan-perpustakaan keren di Jakarta dan sekitarnya biar gaul. Udah nggak jaman nongkrong cuma di mal. Kalo bisa, nongkrong di perpustakaan harus dibudayakan.

1.   Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia
Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia (Perpusnas) atau Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia (PNRI) adalah Perpustakaan Nasional yang berada di Jakarta. Lembaga Pemerintah Non Departemen (LPND) yang berada di bawah dan bertanggung jawab kepada Presiden. Perpustakaan Nasional RI kini menjadi perpustakaan berskala nasional dalam arti sesungguhnya, yaitu sebuah lembaga yang tidak hanya melayani anggota suatu perkumpulan ilmu pengetahuan tertentu, tapi juga melayani anggota masyarakat dari semua lapisan dan golongan. Walau terbuka untuk umum, koleksinya bersifat tertutup dan tidak dipinjamkan untuk dibawa pulang. Layanan itu tidak terbatas hanya pada layanan untuk upaya pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, tapi juga dalam memenuhi kebutuhan bahan pustaka, khususnya bidang ilmu-ilmu sosial dan kemanusiaan, guna mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Mantep nggak, tuh?

2. Perpustakaan Mahasiswa Nyi Ageng Serang       
Nggak cuma buku yang terdapat di perpustakaan ini. Di dekat pintu masuk kamu akan menemukan beberapa komputer. Dengan komputer tersebut kamu boleh menggunakan internet gratis maksimal 30 menit, dengan catatan harus jadi anggota perpustakaan terlebih  dahulu. Nah, kalo mau jadi anggota, gratis, kok. Syaratnya hanya menyerahkan foto copy KTP dan 3 lembar pas photo ukuran 2 x 3. Suasana di perpustakaan ini cukup tenang sehingga membuat pengunjung betah berlma-lama di sini. Memang koleksi buku di perpustakaan ini nggak se-update buku di toko-toko buku. Tapi, koleksi buku di sini lumayan banyak. Terbukti, perpustakaan ini terisi sampai dua lantai. Untuk buku-buku terbaru, pihak perpustakaan meletakkan di lantai 8.

Perpustakaan ini berlokasi di belakang Plaza Festival Kuningan, di Gedung Nyi Ageng Serang.

3.   Pusat Dokumentasi Sastra HB Jassin
Berbagai media massa memberitakan bahwa pusat dokumentasi sastra yang menyimpan, antara lain 16.816 judul buku fiksi, 11.990 judul buku nonfiksi, 457 judul buku referensi, dan 772 judul buku dan naskah drama itu terancam tutup. Kabarnya, dana subsidi dari Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta selalu berkurang setiap tahunnya. Dulu, suasana di perpustakaan ini emang kaku dan gersang.Tapi, sejak 2004, suasana itu udah berubah. Melalui Yayasan Lontar, pelukis Srihadhi membantu menata ruang. Kursi-kursi kayu diganti dengan kursi besi ringan berpelisir abu-abu, sumbangan pribadi Srihadhi.
Meja-meja kayu berpelitur dirancang ulang oleh Srihadhi Soedarsono Adhikoesoemo, MA., dengan dilapisi mika dan rak-rak buku dicat ulang. Nah, sejak perubahan ini, banyak seniman yang mengadakan kegiatan di pusat dokumentasi sastra yang berlokasi di lantai dua Galeri Cipta, Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), itu.

4. Perpustakaan UI, Crystal of Knowledge

Perpustakaan ini disebut-sebut sebagai perpustakaan terbesar se-Asia Tenggara. Nggak heran, emang gedungnya megah dan fasilitasnya pun wah.  Salah satu fasilitasnya adalah OPAC, yaitu sarana untuk mencari informasi mengenai koleksi yang ada di perpustakaan dengan menggunakan terminal komputer. Komputer OPAC tersedia di lantai 2, 3, dan 4. Mengenai akses Internet, di sini tersedia 190 iMac di ruang internet yang dapat digunakan untuk mengakses internet, serta Hotspot di semua area Perpustakaan UI. Matep nggak, tuh? Ruang baca, ruang diskusi ada di lantai 2, 3, dan 4. Ruang diskusi dilengkapi meja, kursi, dan whiteboard plus akses ke internet. Kalo soal fasilitas dan kenyamanan nggak perlu diragukan lagi. Emang bikin betah. Kamu tau nggak, di sini juga ada gym, studio musik, TV Room, lab komputer, dan mini theatre. Kalo laper tinggal melipir ke restoran Korea atau kedai-kedai makanan di bagian luar gedung. Ada Starbucks juga, lho, dengan view danau UI. Beuuhh, siapa coba yang nggak betah lama-lama di perpustakaan kalo perpustakaannya macam begini?
